Junior HR Associate |

Responsibilities
The quality of Ambrose's HR administration and the level of service that our clients receive will be directly impacted by your work:
- Assisting top executives and employees with HR administration, benefits, payroll and accounting issues
- Facilitating HR, benefits and payroll administration, including assisting with open enrollment periods and initiatives based on changes in compliance regulations
- Working with internal departments (401(k), accounting, legal, payroll, sales, technology) to resolve complex HR issues
- Supporting HR Associates with their day-to-day client service
- Participating in internal initiatives and/or projects aimed at improving the services we offer to our clients
As you gain proficiency, you will take on greater responsibilities within the firm, and will become responsible for standing in for HR Associates and managing their clients while they are out of the office.
Training
During your tenure as a Junior HR Associate, you will participate in our extensive training program, where you will receive specialized training from members of each department within our firm. You will also engage in self-directed learning and complete case studies and task-based assessments to further solidify your knowledge. The knowledge that you gain through training will be directly applied to your day-to-day work.
As part of the program, you will work with an experienced mentor, who will help coach and guide you as you gain proficiency.
Please note: Individuals hired to work in the Stamford, CT or Short Hills, NJ office may be required to undergo training in Ambrose’s New York City office.
Career Advancement
Success as a Junior HR Associate leads to eventual promotion to the Associate role. As you gain high levels of proficiency and expertise in Ambrose’s business practices, you will take on your own client accounts.
As an HR Associate, you will act as the primary point of contact for employees and executive decision makers at our client companies and will oversee all HR, benefits and payroll administration for those clients. As the account manager, you will handle client and employee on-boarding, conduct on-site presentations and ensure that all client interactions are seamless. You will be charged with developing and maintaining the relationship between Ambrose and the clients that you manage.

Requirements

The following qualifications and skills are required:
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize work effectively
- Strong relationship-building and customer service skills
- Superior oral and written communication
- A positive attitude and the desire to work as part of a team
- Bachelor's degree (in related HR or business field preferred)
- PC proficiency, including Microsoft Word & Excel
- Driver’s license (may be required)
